The Ocean Cleanup develops and scales technology to rid the oceans of plastics. Every year, millions of tons of plastic enter the oceans, of which the majority spills out from rivers. This creates garbage patches, which circulate and breakdown, degrading the environment in countless negative ways.

This non-profit helps numerous misunderstood and vilified sea animals, such as sharks and giant squid. And krakens, which I hope are lurking down there, somewhere.
